Linda was a very thoughtful, loving and vibrant woman. She took care of all the cats in her neighborhood. She lived in Bay Terraces neighborhood of southeastern San Diego for and was a counselor at a work-furlough center in Barrio Logan.

Linda grew up in Oxfordshire, England. While living in Croughton England she met and married Curtis Allen Brown, and came to the United States with him. They were married for 17 years and have no children. Linda was 41 years old.

Linda was a fan of Prince - she attended all the concerts that she could. She loved his voice. She even had a purple dress with a symbol used by Prince.

A week before her death, Linda took out a restraining order against her estranged husband Curtis Allen Brown. He was out on bail awaiting trail for felony spousal abused. Initially he has pleaded not guilty to murder, with special circumstances. Later in a plea deal, he pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the shooting death of Linda Diane Brown, for which he was sentenced to 75 years to life in prison.

She is sadly missed by many family members and neighbors in two parts of the world, Croughton England and San Diego, California, USA. She is survived by her Mother Agnes Hayward of Wheelers Rise, Sister of England, Brothers of England and Niece of England.

A memorial service was held Sept. 12 at New Creations Church at 3115 Altadena Ave, San Diego.
