Alice Joan Miller, 78, of Clay County, Indiana passed away while staying at Cloverleaf Healthcare on July 25, 2020 following an extended illness. Joan, as she was known, was born in Vermillion County, on July 26, 1941, the daughter of Elmer and Flora (Archer) Bouillez.
She graduated from Brazil High School. She married Seldon “Bob” Miller who preceded her in death in 2017.
Joan had volunteered for hospice for a few years. Most of her life was spent caring for her family. She enjoyed reading, caring for others, and spending time with others.
She is survived by her son Robert Miller and wife Rebecca of Clay County, Indiana; grandchildren: Shelby Garvin and husband Morgan, Megan Felty and husband Kyle, and Kinsey Miller; great-grandchildren: Gunner Felty, Kyra Garvin, and Alannah Garvin;
Joan was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Flora Bouillez, her husband Seldon “Bob” Miller, a great-grandson Jerad Garvin, and a brother Lenny Bouillez.
Visitation will be at Lawson – Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana on Friday, July 31, 2020 from 11am until 1pm. Services will be at the funeral home, on Friday at 1:00 with burial to follow at Greek Cemetery, near Parke County, Indiana.
