Wanda June (Ross) Anderson, 89, of Salina, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020 at home. She was born on June 10, 1930 in Bishop, California; the daughter of Jessie James and Ola Mae (Barnes) Ross. Wanda was an outstanding chef; she worked for many years as a cook for the United States Military. She also loved teaching others how to be good cooks as well. Wanda’s family meant everything to her, and she would always help them in any way she could. In her down time, she enjoyed sitting outside and feeding the birds; just enjoying nature. Wanda was a wonderful woman who will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Funeral services for Wanda will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., at Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerold Pilant officiating. Burial will be in the Ross - Mayes Cemetery. Come and go visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Shipman’s Funeral Home. Wanda is survived by her sisters, Geneva Ross of Salina, Oklahoma, and Beverly Fox of Arizona; nephew, Tyler Liebig of Salina, Oklahoma; and niece, Cathie Krouse of California. She is preceded in death by her husband, Andy Anderson; brother, Harmon Ross; and her sister, Lola Mae Morris.
