Walter Devotie Dantzler

Funeral services for Mr. Walter Devotie Dantzler, age 83, resident of Altamonte Springs Florida and a former resident of Winona, were conducted at First Presbyterian Church in Winona Saturday, September 17, 1994 at 10:00 a.m. Dr. Harold Richardson officiated, assisted by the Rev. William Dantzler. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery.

Born March 23, 1911 in Winona to George William and Minnie Alma Aldridge Dantzler, Mr. Dantzler was a retired general manager of LTV Steel Company's retail stores, a member of Coalwood United Methodist Church in Coalwood, West Virginia, a past member of the Kiwanis Club of Welch, West Virginia, a past president of National Industrial Stores Association, and a member of Beni Keden Shrine Temple of Charleston, West Virginia.

Mr. Dantzler died of heart failure Tuesday, September 13, at Florida Living Nursing Home in Apopka, Florida.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eleanor S. Dantzler of Altamonte Springs, Florida: two daughters, Dr. Eleanor Siebert of Los Angeles, California and Mrs. Zanice Ginger Muckler of Atlanta, Georgia; two sisters, Mrs. Zanice Young and Mrs. Eliza Mitchell, both of Winona; his brother, William Dantzler of Bluefield, West Virginia; and four grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Jerry Dantzler, Jimmy Dantzler, Howard Dantzler, Greg Siebert, Ray Siebert, and Frank Muckler.

Lee Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
