Daughter of German immigrants, Christian Carl Spoerle and Carrie (Schieb) Spoerle. Census records show Mary Spoerle was born circa 1902, but her obituary says she was 100 years old. Her younger sister Pauline was born in 1902.

Miss Mary Spoerle and John Victor Imhoff were married 7 Apr 1932 by C. D. Myers, J.P., in Richmond, Fort Bend, Texas, no record of any children.

John Victor Imhoff's first marriage was to Miss Mary Esther Adams on 20 May 1926 by Rev Bernard Lee, Catholic priest, in Houston, Harris, Texas. He and Mary Esther (Adams) Imhoff were the parents of Winifred "Winnie" Lucille (Imhoff) Waneck.

Mary Spoerle Imhoff was survived by her brother, William Otto Spoerle; numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, November 12, 2000 in Forest Park Lawndale Family Chapel, followed by interment in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
