Obituary from the Great Bend [KS] Tribune, 5 Jun 1988, p. 3 col. 2--Cecil B. Handley--Ellinwood--Cecil B. Handley, 94, died June 4 at this home in Ellinwood. Born Jan. 2, 1894 at Vermillion, he married Hannah Denker on April 20, 1936, in Wichita. She died in 1980. He retired in 1961 from Handley Drilling after 45 years in the oil business. He has been an Ellinwood resident since 1935. He was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ and the Heritage Club, both of Ellinwood, the Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite and the Isis Shrine, Salina.
He is survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be 1:30 p. m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Chris Tierre officiating. Burial will be in Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery, Ellinwood. Call time is 3 to 9 p. m. today. The family suggests memorials to the church or to the Heritage Club. Kimple Funeral Home in Ellinwood is in charge of arrangements.
