Mr. Clark, who retired last June after serving with Gulf Oil for 10 years, lived in Pittsburgh while with the company.
After graduating from Brown University and Harvard Law School, he began his business career in 1915 with Brown & Sharpe Manufacturing Co. of Providence, Rhode Island. He was a controller of the company when he joined Gulf Oil.
He served as director of Purchasing for seven months in 1941 for the Office of Production Management, later the War Production Board, then retired because of illness.
He also served as president of the Rhode Island Purchasing Agents Association; vice president and president of the National Association of Purchasing Agents.
Surviving are his widow, Marion (Hathaway) Clark; two sons, Donald G. Clark Jr; and Robert B. Clark; a daughter, Mrs. Roger D. Hard Jr; and seven grandchildren.
