De Bert B Witter died suddenly early Tuesday morning, May 18 at his home in Factoryville, Pa. The funeral will be held in Factoryville Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, with interment to be in Evergreen cemetery, Berkshire, at 4:30.

He was son of Hon. Daniel P. and Sarah Belden Witter, and was born in Richford May 21, 1880.

The family moved to Berkshire in 1900. He attended high school in Newark Valley. For 26 years, he was associated with undertaker Fred W. Witter in Newark Valley and Berkshire.

He was married to Lena LaBarre who died Oct 5, 1944. They lived in Factoryville since 1931 where he has been employed by the Dairymen's league until he retired five years ago. Mr. Witter was a member of Speedsville Lodge F & A M, and a member of the Baptist Church in Factoryville.

A delegation of Masons from Speedsville Lodge attended the Masonic service in Factoryville Thursday night.

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Robert Knapp of Utica, Lt Col Kathryn G Witter of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo, Mrs Ralph Walton Jr and Miss Sally Witter of Factoryville; one son, George D Witter of Los Angeles, Cal; five grandchildren; and one sister Mrs S S Dewitt of Berkshire.
