Mrs. Maud G. Skilton, of the school of fine arts at the University, died this morning about 4 o'clock, at the family home, 1318 Louisiana. Mrs. Skilton had been ill with heart disease since last January, but recently was thought to be recovering. She was 45 years old.
Mrs. Skilton was born in Montreal, Canada, and spent her girlhood there. Later, the family moved to New York city, where she was married to Professor Skilton in 1903. Following their marriage, they came to Lawrence where they have made their home ever since, Professor Skilton teaching in the school of fine arts at the University.
Mrs. Skilton is survived by her husband, two daughters, Helen and Vivian, and one son, Sanford.
The funeral will be held in the Episcopal church at Lawrence. Definite arrangements have not yet been made.

The funeral of Mrs. Maud G. Skilton, who died yesterday morning, will be held from the Episcopal church in Lawrence, Monday morning, July 31, at 10:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
