A Bardstown resident, Mr. Barry Nicholas “Nick” Blanchard, age 68, passed away Monday, August 10, 2020 at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born November 29, 1951 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Roger and Connie Ingersoll Blanchard. Nick retired from a career in nursing and insurance. He was a member of Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral. He loved his family, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and listening to rock music. He is survived by his loving wife , 2 daughters , his son, his sister, , his brother, and 5 grandchildren. A memorial mass for Nick will be 11:00 am Friday, August 14, 2020 at St. Joseph with Fr. Terry Bradshaw celebrant. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Room In The Inn, 310 N. 2nd Street Bardstown, KY 40004. The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
