George William Hickman, Jr., 88, was one of the original Tuskegee airmen and was one of the country's first black military pilots and ground crew members who fought in World War II. He was also a longtime usher at University of Washington and Seattle Seahawks game.

He is survived by his wife Doris, four children, grand-children and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 732 - 18th Ave East, Seattle, WA.
