Raymond married Raie "Rachel" Kliner on 8 Nov 1943 in Andover, Hampshire, UK, where he was stationed during WWII. She was born on 19 Dec 1916 and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. During WWII she served with the Auxiliary Territorial Service, the UK equivalent of the (then) US Women's Army Corps. She arrived in New York by ship on 29 June 1846, and in Minot a couple of weeks later. Ray and Raie lived in several locations in North Dakota, including Harvey and Minot. Raie was naturalized as a US Citizen on 16 Jun 1953 at Fessenden, Wells Co., ND, and officially took the name Rachel. Her date of death and burial location are currently unknown.

Raymond's grave is near the center of the Veterans area in Section 16. This area is decorated with wreaths (one on each grave) during the year end holiday season.
