Mr. Albert Frederick Aring Jr., age 85, of Cedartown, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2011. He was born on December 28, 1925 in Chapin, Illinois; he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Frederick and Clara Koff Aring, Sr.

Mr. Aring is survived by daughter and son-law, Bertha Kay and Gregory R. Desjarlais; sons and daughter-in-laws, Robert Lee and LaDonna Aring, Donald Keith and Lisa Aring and Michael F. Aring; brother, Virgil Aring; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Mr. Aring is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lillian Elizabeth Stroup Aring; brothers, Marvin Aring and Wayne Aring and sisters, Inamarie Magletz, Helen Dyer and Erma.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Aring will be conducted on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at eleven o’clock in the morning in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Karch officiating.

Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.

The family of Mr. Aring will receive friends on Wednesday, May 04, 2011 from six o’clock in the evening until nine o’clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers; Bobby Aring, Shawn Aring, Johnny Benefield, Jimmy Benefield, Jeffery Holt, Lee Holt and Richard Williams.

Flowers are being accepted; however, donations can made to Heyman Hospice Care at Floyd, 420 E. Second Avenue, Suite 105, Rome, Georgia 30161.
