The funeral of Ellen Burnett "Bernie" Parsons Gregory, 86, of 901 N Main St, Normal, formerly of 202 W Locust St, Bloomington, will be at 1 pm Thursday at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, the Rev Fred Belcher officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Township Cemetery, Mansfield. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm today at the funeral home. She died at 1:43 pm Monday (Aug 12, 1996) at McLean County Nursing Home, Normal.
Surviving are three daughters, Darlene Langstrom, Ladylake, Fla; Charlotte Robertson, Lakeview, Ark; Barbara Johnson, Bloomington; one son, Ron Gregory, Bloomington; one brother, R F Parsons, Clarendon Hills; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
One brother and two sisters preceded her in death.
She was born Jan 30, 1910 in Paint Lick, Ky, a daughter of Thomas S and Fannie P Smith Parsons. She married Charles L "Slim" Gregory June 21, 1930 in Mansfield. He died June 5, 1992.
Mrs Gregory was a homemaker. She was a member of 8 & 40 of American Legion Auxiliary.
