Larking F. Britt Dies At Dillon
Dillon, March 23. - Larking F. Britt, 60, automobile salesman and farmer and former chief of police in Dillon, died at his home here at noon today after an extended illness.
Mr. Britt was something of a philosopher and his keen wit made him the central figure of any group in which he found himself.
He is survived by his widow, who was Miss Pet McKenzie, and the following children: Mrs. Bessie Parrish of Dillon, Mrs. Eva Jewel Rackley of Southern Pines, N.C., J. P. and D. C. Britt, Washington, D.C., and Dorothy, Nattie and Bill, who are of school age and live here. Also surviving are a brother, Tom Britt, and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday from the home. Interment at Mount Holly Cemetery.
