Fayann J. McMahon, age 74 of Elburn, formerly of Geneva passed away Friday June 2, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born August 2, 1942, in Geneva, IL, the daughter of Giovanni Adam Amadei and Lyla Jane Augustine. She is survived by her two sons, Rory and Ryan both of Elburn, and her brother Remo Amadei of Palatine. Fay enjoyed travel, gardening, shopping, dancing, cooking, especially Italian foods and going out to dinner with family and friends. Fay started working at the corner grocery store on the corner of Anderson boulevard and Stevens street while in high school. She performed clerical and data entry duties over 35 years for Burgess Norton, Nichols Homeshield, Geneva Industries, Gordon Flesch, Republic Printing, Navistar, Brittania, Inc., DuKane, and St. Charles Country Club. Fay also worked for Delnor as a home care professional. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy in 2004 and her son Russ in 2015. Funeral service will be held Thursday June 8, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State St. (Rt. 38), Geneva. Visitation will be held Wednesday June 7, from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Malone Funeral Home, Geneva. Interment will be private.
