Everon was born in Clarrisa, Minnesota to Roy and Hattie Zimmer Rix. Everon served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a career military man and eventually retired from the Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. Everon loved cars and enjoyed working on them.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harold and Francis Rix; and granddaughter, Alicia Nicole Rix.
Everon leaves his wife, Toby Ann Long Rix of the home; three children, Cindy Rix of Blytheville, Richard Rix and his wife Nicki of Sherwood, Arkansas and Scott Rix and his wife Diane of Memphis; and two grandchildren, Wesley and Blake Rix.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 19th at 2:00 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery with Rev. Danny Pankey officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church of Blytheville or the Alzheimer’s Association.
