John is survived by his loving wife of 22 years Leslie (Warner) Morelli; sisters, Patricia Morelli and Marianne (Douglas) Hagues; sister-in-law, Paula (Robert) Jones; nieces, Lindsay (Colby) Pacillo, Ashley (David) Nutting, Jennifer Jones; many wonderful cousins; friends; and their cherished rescue cats.
John retired in 2019 from American Tire Distributors and was previously employed at Kodak and Chase Pitkin. For several years he worked part time doing the set up and tear down for a local band. John graduated from Greece Olympia High School. He enjoyed cooking, wood working, music, theater, classic movies, old time NY Yankee memorabilia, ancestry/genealogy research and volunteering with Find a Grave.
John’s visitation will be Monday, August 17th 11am-1pm at the Bartolomeo and Perotto Funeral Home, Inc. 1411 Vintage Lane, between 390 and Long Pond Road. His burial in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery will immediately follow.
The family thanks URMC Canalside Family Medicine, Wilmot Cancer Center, and UR Hospice for their outstanding care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to G.R.A.S.P. (Greece Residents Assisting Stray Pets) in John's memory.
