Alfred William Kraeplin
BELLA VISTA, Ark. -- Alfred William Kraeplin, 78, died Tuesday, May 16, 1995, in Bates Memorial Medical Center, Bentonville, Ark.
He was born Feb. 14, 1917, in Crystal Lake, the son of Lewis and Bertha (Dahn) Kraeplin.
He was a dairy farmer in McHenry County until his retirement in 1981. He was a retired I.O.O.F. member. He was a former member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Crystal Lake, and was a member of United Lutheran Church in Bella Vista. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, having served as a first sergeant.
Surviving are his wife, Violet, two children, Laray Kraeplin of Denver, Colo and Laurel (Charles) Larsen o Woodstock' a sister, Ella Hamilton of Crystal Lake; and two brothers, Frank Kraeplin of Crystal Lake and Carl (Bernice) Kraeplin of Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Alfred Jr. and Leslie; a sister, Edna Dreyer; and two brothers, Arnold and Walter Kraeplin.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 18, in United Lutheran Chruch, Bella Vista, where services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 10. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Crystal Lake, the Rev. David Strang officiating.
