Magdaline was born May 29, 1924 in Meire Grove, MN, to Frank and Amelia (Klingler) Anton. She was raised in Van Hook. In her younger years, she worked for Dr. and Mrs. Emil Mahowald of Parshall.

On January 10, 1950, she was united in marriage to Anthony “Tony” Giesen. Magdaline liked working in her yard which she did until she was 88. She gardened, canned, and baked the best chocolate chip cookies. The grandkids never left without a bag full.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Anthony in 2000; 17 siblings; and son-in-law, Gene Eisenzimmer. She was the last member of the Frank Anton family.
