Mrs Mary Elizabeth Irene Reppart 66 yrs old of Lake Wabaunsee in Eskridge Kansas died about an hour after arrival at a Topeka hospital early Tuesday afternoon following an apparent heart attack. She had a heart ailment.
Mrs Reppart lived at Lake wabaunsee about 5 miles west of Eskridge Kansas since 1968 and earlier lived in Topeka Kansas.
She was born January 13th 1909 at Whiting Kansas and lived in Topeka for many years. She attended Topeka Public Schools and formally was employed by Capper Publications.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the auxiliary of Cary Post No. 28 of the American Legion, both at Eskridge. She was a member of Topeka Chapter No. 462, order of Eastern Star, and the auxiliary of Phillip Billard Post of Veterens of Foreign Wars, both in Topeka.
Mrs Reppart was a member of the board of directors of the Lake Wabaunsee Sportsmen's Association. She was a member of the auxiliary of the Kansas Engineering Society.
She was married to Homer L. Reppart September 13th 1925, in Topeka. He survives.
Other survivors include three sons Dr. William C. Reppart of Ulysses Kansas, Homer B. Reppart, of Emporia Kansas, and Dr. John T. Reppart, Oklahoma City Oklahoma; two daughters, Mrs Donna L. Kristek of Lincolnville Kansas, and Mrs Mary Jane Pitts of Topeka Kansas; a brother Charles Butters, Kansas City; a sister Mrs Grace Wilson, Whiting Kansas; 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Services were held at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Topeka. Chapter No. 462 Order of Eastern Star conducted a service at the funeral home. Graveside services were held at Spring Hill Cemetary in Whiting, Kansas.
She was my grandmother. She loved crocheting and I always remember the dog laying next to her feet as she would crochet in her rocking chair, always petting the dog with her foot as she worked away on a afghan. She paid good money too, if you let her pull your loose tooth. She is missed dearly every day.
