JAMES ALLEN
James S. "Muttley" Allen, 74, of Wileyville, West Virginia, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018, at Liza's Place in Wheeling.
He was born March 10, 1944, in Wheeling, West Virginia, the son of the late James Lewis and Iva Gene Arens Allen.
A veteran of the United States Navy, he worked at Viking Glass Company and Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation. He was also a member of the New Martinsville Moose Lodge 931.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Lewis Allen.
Surviving is his wife, Carol Sue Rice Allen; a son, James David Allen, and his wife, Sara, of Mount Airy, North Carolina; a daughter, Jennifer Walt, and her husband, John, of Moundsville, West Virginia; a sister, Velinda Phillips, and her husband, Ralph, of New Martinsville, West Virginia; nine grandchildren: Brittany, Deneka, Adriana, Erika, Nicholas, Chris, Kevin, Zach, and Gavin; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018, at the Wileyville Church of Christ at 1 p.m. The family will welcome friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be expressed at palmerfuneral.com.
