A grandson of: Joseph LANE ,Sr/I; Colonel 1665–1757 & Jillian Pope Jarrell 1675–1726


Died while visiting his twin daughters, Sarah and Mary Ann, in Illinois. He was living in Athens, Clarke County, GA, at the time of his death.


Some trees indicate he was buried in Missouri although no gravesite found to date. His son Charles Henry LANE was the administrator on his estate; Charles lived in Missouri at the time of Jesse's death.
