Tuesday, January 17, 2012. "Jo" had a most fulfilling life on earth. She was a Methodist minister's wife, a social worker for 25 years at TIRR, loved her
"CBS" Bible study classes and ladies, and spent many hours growing beautiful flower gardens.
Her greatest joys were her grandchildren. Jo and Rick tried to be at every game, play, recital and all other important events involving the grandkids.
"Gramma" enjoyed special games and times with the grandchildren and they have many warm, funny, special and even crazy memories of her that they will forever cherish. As a great "Gigi," her memory wasn't as sharp, but she experienced a special time with great granddaughter Grayson in the last days.
Jo is survived by four children and their spouses, seven grandchildren and spouses and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by many wonderful friends. Her family is sure that if she could, she would exclaim in her lovely southern accent, "Thank y'all for being in my life and we will meet again soon!" Her greatest prayer would be that all rejoice and celebrate her arrival in heaven!
The family will privately celebrate her life at an annual gathering in July. No other services are planned.
