Clarissa married for the first time at the age of 46 to the Widower Howard Wood, in Charlton, Massachusetts on 13 Aug 1837. He died in 1842 and she married second to the Widower Gurdon Robinson in Charlton, Massachusetts on 20 Oct 1844. Gurdon died in 1848. Clarissa has not yet been found in the 1850 census but during the 1855 State Census, 1860 Federal Census and 1865 State census, she was living with her nephew Samuel Austin Hall and in the 1870 census she is found in the home of her sister-in-law, Lucy (Shaw) Hall.
