Bloomington – Doris Jean Eads, 94, of Bloomington, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Golden Living Center in Bloomington.
Born April 30, 1926 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Rex and Maude (Burch) Harper. She married Vasel Eads on May 11, 1942 and he preceded her in death on February 7, 2006. She was a homemaker and member of the Chapel Hill Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Ann Hartman and husband, Phillip, of Springville and Dianna Sue Cooley and husband, Steven H., of Bloomington; a son, Colbert “Coby” Nathan Eads and wife, Joyce Ann, of Bedford; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson, Wendall Dwayne Kinser; 2 brothers, Kenneth and Thomas Harper; 5 sisters, Wilma Stewart, Elsie Prince, Allie Ritter, Nancy Prince, and Marjorie Barger.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Sunday, August 23rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Greg Eads officiating. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, August 22nd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
