Poet. Renato Leduc López was a Mexican writer, poet and journalist. He wrote poetry, stories and chronicles for several newspapers and cultural magazines, before he travelled to Paris by order of the Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público in the mid 1930s, where he met several surrealistic writers, and lived for ten years, during World War II. He published several works, including poetry as "El aula, etc. (1929)", "Poemas desde París" (1942), and "Catorce poemas burocráticos" (1963), novels as "Los banquetes" (1933) and "El corsario beige" (1940), among other works. He won the National Journalism Award twice (1977 and 1983).
