Mr. Charles Gerald “Jerry” Daniell, age 76 of Aragon, GA passed away, Thursday, August 20, 2020 at his residence.
He was born April 24, 1944 in Polk County, GA the son of the late Herman Udell Daniell and the late Mrs. Clara Davis Coalson. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was retired from General Motors. After his retirement he worked in Telecommunications and ran his own garage.
He enjoyed playing golf, softball, bowling and cornhole, he loved fast trucks, riding and racing motorcycles, he also enjoyed watching baseball and football. He was an avid gardener, he loved telling jokes and was a craftsman who could build anything he imagined or wanted.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Donnie Daniell, Tommy Daniell, Johnny Daniell and Rodney Daniell, sisters, Lisa Chatman, Kathy Daniell and Reba Daniell.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lori Cochenour Daniell of Aragon; daughters and sons-in-law, Malynda and Jeff Wehunt of Canton, Sherry and Tommy Hodge of Winter Haven, FL and Jackie and Corey Norton of Folkston; sisters and brother-in-law, Treba Trotter and Vickie and Danny Chatman all of Plantersville, AL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Janice Daniell of Attala, AL, Billy Daniell and David Daniell of Plantersville, AL, Kenneth Daniell of Leesburg, AL and Danny and Lori Daniell of Sand Rock, AL; grandchildren, Mike Wehunt, Erin Wehunt-Southerland, Justin Wehunt, Gray Hughes, Kyle Hodge, SSGT Katie Norton and Cheyenne Norton-Carter; great- grandchildren, Liam Wehunt and Xander Wehunt; mother-in-law, Ada Cochenour and brother-in-law, Keith Cochenour; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
The family will receive friends at Freeman Harris Funeral Home Sunday, August 24, 2020 from 2:00 PM till 5:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, August 25, 2020 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Aragon Cemetery.
**In keeping with the CDC, Federal, State and Local guidelines, only 50 people will be allowed in the funeral home at one time, social distancing must be observed and the Daniell Family request that all attendees must wear a mask.
