AIKENHEAD, William David
William was born inAlmonte, Ontario onAugust 25, 1894. He enlisted in the Army
(Regular Force) on April 17, 1916. He served with the Canadian Forestry Corp
and CAMC as a pharmacist in England on June 10, 1917 and France from October
11, 1918 to March 19, 1919. On return to Canada, he was married in 1920 and
owned his own drugstore in Parkham from 1920 to 1937 and in Renfrew from
1937 to 1970. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 148 for
33 years. William passed away on December 4, 1970.
