PACOLET -- Mrs. Janie B. Littlejohn Gist, 70, of 430 Dogwood Circle, Pacolet, SC, passed away on Saturday evening at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Wofford Littlejohn and Mrs. Marie Shands Littlejohn. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church, Pacolet, SC and a member of the Missionary Society. Mrs. Gist retired from Milliken Cedar Hill Plant after more than 30 years of service.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Carla Gist Jackson and husband, Percy of Greenwood, SC and Ms. Sheila Gist Meadows of the home; three sons, Mr. Carlton and Pat Gist of Greenville, SC, Mr. Terrence and Helen Gist of Boiling Springs, SC, Mr. Brian Gist of Spartanburg, SC; five sisters, Mrs. Mary Knox and Ms. Rose McNamee both of Detroit, MI, Ms. Mamie Littlejohn of Pacolet Mills, SC, Mrs. Corrie and Lewis Oglesby of Spartanburg, SC and Mrs. Garnell and Bobby Oglesby of Gaffney, SC; three brothers, Mr. Wofford Littlejohn, Jr. and Mr. Joe Littlejohn both of Detroit, MI and Mr. Donald and Linda Littlejohn of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren and on great-grandson.
