She passed away due to complications from COVID-19.

Her words on her clinic's website:

Wanda Peppa Key, APRN, FNP-BC is an Advance Practice Registered Nurse with 30 years as a mental health provider. Wanda has provided services within many communities including nursing homes, psychiatric hospitals, community mental health centers, private practices, and criminal justice facilities. She has a larger than life personality and genuinely enjoys helping people live their best life. Wanda is currently working towards her psychiatric mental health certification, so that she may become an even greater asset to the patients she serves.

A note from Wanda:
"People that are seeking help deserve more than a prescription for medication. I am not an injection administering, prescription writing provider. That is just one component of providing care. I listen to your words and connect with your story so that together, we can select the best treatment for you. I believe as the Greek philosopher Plutarch said, what we achieve inwardly will change outward reality. I look forward to meeting you."

We mourn the passing of Wanda (Peppa) Key, APRN, FNP-BC (1957-2020).
Wanda provided services within the mental health community for 30 years. She was a friend, trusted colleague, and compassionate servant to her patients. Wanda provided care to clients of the Center of Hope for Behavioral Health since its inception because she believed in our Mission.

The Center will continue its work according to Wanda's favorite quote to her patients by the Greek philosopher Plutarch, "What we achieve inwardly will change outward reality."

Please keep her sons, KaRon and Jamal Jordan, and family in your prayers. Take your rest Ms. Wanda, your larger than life personality will be greatly missed.
