Mom was able to travel and see a lot of the United States during the time her husband worked for Parks and Wildlife. She also served in the United State Army. She met and made many friends through the years. She loved to cook, visit with her children and grandchildren. She worked many places in her lifetime, one being for Stephenville Highway Department, and in later years at Walmart. After she retired her love was to feed the deer, fox and hummingbirds and sit back and watch. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by many.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her daughter, Monique Hill of Comanche, TX; son, William (Bill) Burrow of Gainesville, FL; daughter, Jenny Britt Stoops of Western Grove, AR; brother, Foy Warden Owens Jr. and wife Mary Sue of Abilene, TX; sister, Cindy Elk and husband Charles of Sachse, TX; grandchildren, Rachel Bingham, Michelle Bingham, Billy Hill, Holly Gutierrez, Loni Mechell, Jordin Betts, Tanner Betts, Avery Skinner, and Kenli Burrow.
Other family members left to honor and cherish her memory include her great-grandchildren, Aaron Patrick, Malarie Bingham, Jake Gutierrez, Coy Gutierrez, Cyprus Hill, Jade Mechell, Arial Mechell, and William Bingham; nieces and nephews, Ron and Cary Owens, Reni and Donnie Latner, Collin Elk, and Carissa and Zach McCartney.
Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Avery Atnip; parents, Foy and Jimmie Owens; and niece, Amy Yvette Owens.
Pallbearers include Kent Smith, Billy Hill, Jeff Yamen, Jay Adams, Kenny Reed, and Charles Elk.
Visitation will be 1 - 5 p.m. Sunday, December 15th, 2019 at Nelson Funeral Chapel, Rocksprings.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 16th, 2019 at the Rocksprings Cemetery, Rocksprings, Texas. Officiant Foy W. Owens.
