She was born in Jackson County, Tennessee on October 15, 1924 to the late Alfus & Deller Geesling Barlow.
She was a member of the Aarons Chapel Community Church.
Veachel enjoyed making quilts, inspirational cards, and gardening. She was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for her family that she loved dearly. Veachel also enjoyed reading her Bible and going to church.
Veachel leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Linda Bennett Pigg & husband Cliff of Livingston, TN; granddaughters, Tracy Witt & husband Lonnie of Rickman, TN, and Amy Hutchings & husband Michael of Lafayette, TN; grandson, Greg Bennett & wife Bridgett of Hilham, TN; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Kathleen Boles of Hendersonville, TN; brother, Ken Barlow of Livingston, TN.
In addition to her parents, Veachel was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Bennett; son, Gunther Bennett; sisters, Pearl Master, and Jewel Smith; and brother, Vanis Barlow.
Funeral Services were conducted Friday, August 28, 2020 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Sonny Gilpatrick officiating. Burial followed in the Aarons Chapel Cemetery.
