She was preceded in death in 1968 by her father, Dennis Brooks. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Marjorie and Orville Lee Carter; three sons, Eddie, Tim and Christopher; a twin brother, Darrell Brooks and a brother, Lyle Brooks; three stepbrothers; a stepsister and three grandchildren.
