LEE-On January 11, at Port Fairy, Mary Jane, beloved wife of the late Arthur Lee, mother of Richard, John, Jessie (Mrs. R. Chow) and Thomas. Aged 78 years.
Requiescat in Pace.
-Interred at Port Fairy Cemetery on January 12, 1951.

OBITUARY MARY JANE LEE, Aged 78.

Port Fairy and District residents heard with very sincere regret of the death on Thursday last, of Mrs. Mary Jane Lee, a resident of Bank Street. Deceased, who had not been in the best of health for some time, was taken suddenly ill. Born at Port Fairy 78 years ago, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Ryan, of Bootahpool, and her marriage to Mr. Arthur Urban Lee took place at Bolder City, W. A. Prior to the death of her husband some years ago, the family came to Port Fairy to reside. During her residence here, the late Mrs. Lee made numerous friends by her very kindly and neighborly actions, and she was always eager to do a good deed for others. She was a women who, by her many charitable actions and pleasant personality, was held in the very highest regard by an exceptionally large circle of friends and acquaintances, and to the family – Richard Urban, John Arthur, Jessie May (Mrs. R. Chow, Koroit) and Thomas – the sympathy of the community will be extended in their bereavement.
The funeral took place to the Port Fairy cemetery on Friday afternoon last, the cortege being representative of various sections in the community in all parts of Port Fairy and district, many beautiful floral tributes adorned the casket. The coffin was carried to the graveside by Messers, L. Ryan, R. Chow, T. Lee and J. Lee, while the pall was supported by Messers C. McLean, E. Coram, M. Faulkner, D. Coffey, J. Gapes, J. Crow, S. Pope and J. McKeigan. Rev. Fr. O'Keeffe officiated at the graveside. Rev. Fr. O'Brien being also present. The mortuary arrangements were carried out by Messers Guvett & Sons, Pty., Ltd, Port Fairy.
