William Abbott William Roy Abbott, 79, a long time resident of the Island District in Lemoore, died Saturday in a Hanford hospital. Abbott was a native of Michigan and had lived in Island for the past 66 years. He was a member of the Island Baptist Church, Royal Neighbors of America, the Kings County Farm Bureau and a 45 year member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his widow. Hazel with whom he had celebrated his 58th wedding anniversary; his mother, Mrs. Ida May Abbott both of Lemoore; two sons, Earle Abbott of Redlands and Gary Abbott, Lemoore; three granddaughters, Mary Abbott, Redlands, and Lori and Teri Abbott of Lemoore. A prayer service will be held Wednesday at 8:15 p.m. in the Phipps-Dale Chapel in Lemoore. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the chapel with the Rev. William Lewis officiating. Masonic services will be conducted by Welcome Lodge 255 F&AM of Lemoore. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of the Light in Fresno
