Ursula W. Sweeny passed away in her home on the morning of Tuesday, September 1, 2020.
She was born on April 23, 1964 to Brannan and Ursula (Tunstall) Woodham in Mobile, Alabama. She graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, and practiced for over 15 years.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Greg Sweeny, as well as sons and daughters, Shane and Felicia (Lewis) Sweeny, Connor Sweeny and Teagan Shelton, and Collin Sweeny. She also leaves her brothers, Branan Woodham, Brian Woodham, and Keith Woodham, as well as many nieces and nephews.

From her professional life to her personal life, she spent her time on Earth doing all she could to help her fellow man, regardless of the toll to herself. She went above and beyond for those in need going as far to open her home to those that needed a safe place. She was always there, to cheer, to comfort, to console, to uplift, to teach, and her favorite activity, to laugh. From band competitions to soccer or rugby matches, she made sure she expended every effort for her children. For her husband, she served as a compass, a friend, and soulmate. She will be sorely missed by all those that her beautiful light touched. She will live on in the hearts of those that will carry on her legacy of love, hope, and kindness.

Her memorial service will be held at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, 503 N. Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072 on September 12, 2020 at 12:00 pm.
