Death certificate identifies parents as George Parrish and Miss Sarah Head. His WWII draft card indicates that his name was R. C. (initials only) and designates Gilbert F. Vetters of Corpus Christi as his contact person. It also says that he walked with a cane because his right leg was paralyzed. Perhaps his disability played a role in his untimely death from a pedestrian-auto accident. Among his survivors was his wife, Eunice. He was a former newspaper advertising salesman turned insurance agent ("Corpus Christi Times," March 23, 25, and 28, 1943).
