Reyna Angelica Marroquin emigrated from El Salvador to the New York City area in the late 1960's in the hopes of finding many opportunities. Before her death, she was said to have taken English and job training courses; she was determined to succeed in her new life in America.
Marroquin's body was returned to El Salvador and given a dignified funeral service. She was survived by her mother and other relatives.
