Maybelle Maxine Gagg, 89, of Macomb passed away at 5:45 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2020 at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.


She was born on December 10, 1930 in Beardstown to Herbert and Maude Brown. She married Samuel "Claire" Gagg on May 23, 1951 in Macomb. He passed away on April 5, 2006.


She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and one sister.


She is survived by one son, Wayne Gagg of Macomb and one daughter Wanda (Steven) Bradford of Good Hope.


Maxine lived in Macomb most of her life. She attended the Church of Nazarene. She worked at Kline's Department Store and at Eagles at christmas time for a few years making fruit baskets. She cleaned house for a while and also worked as a waitress at the Junction Café at the intersection of 67 and 136.


Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.


Memorials may be made to the Good Hope Fire and Rescue Squad.
