Timothy Lee Baldwin, age 55, passed away June 23, 2014 in Sarasota, Florida.

Tim was born in Gloversville, New York on June 14, 1959, to Lenora (nee Steele) and George Baldwin.

Growing up in Gloversville, Tim attended Estee Middle School and Gloversville High School. Tim graduated from Bentley College in 1980.

Tim married Eileen Rosenzweig in 1980 and they lived in Roanoke, VA, and Schenectady, NY before moving to Sarasota, FL. in 1987.

Tim’s career began as a CPA for Cooper’s & Lybrand in Albany NY.

After moving to Sarasota, he was business manager of Ringling College of Art and Design, from 1987-1990.

Tim was instrumental in supporting Eileen’s development of the Sarasota Sir Speedy.

As an avid reader, Tim’s knowledge was vast. Tim loved to paint and play the piano.

Disabled at 30, Tim lived his life to the fullest, enjoying every moment. The love and kindness he displayed to family, friend, colleague, and stranger alike were endless. The challenges Tim faced were to him nothing than opportunities to give to others. His patience and calmness provided support to his family. As a father, Tim’s devotion was unsurpassed, the years he was able to spend with his daughters were filled with laughter and tears, but mostly filled with precious moments that will be treasured.

To quote Walter Mondale’s eulogy of Hubert Humphrey “He taught us all how to hope and how to live, how to win and how to lose, he taught us how to live, and finally, he taught us how to die.”

Tim is survived by his devoted wife, Eileen; loving daughters, Fay Margaret and Evelyn Rose; in-laws, David and Leila Rosenzweig of Sarasota; sisters, Sharon Lott of Gloversville, NY and Teri Baldwin of Sarasota, FL; and brother, David Baldwin of Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Tim was predeceased by his parents, Lenora and George Baldwin of Gloversville, NY.

In addition to family, Tim’s dogs were his constant companions and best friends.
