She was a daughter of ALFRED J. SMITH and Mrs. MARY BROWN SMITH. A native of
Newport News, she lived here 59 years. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. E.B. FORD of
Portsmouth; a son, I.A. BAILEY of Chesapeake; a sister, Mrs. HAZEL B. BAKER and a
brother, ROLAND S. SMITH, both of Gloucester Point and 7 grandchildren. A funeral service
will be held Monday, October 3, 1966 at 12:30 pm in Snellings Funeral Home. Burial will be in
Olive Branch Cemetery.
