Mrs. Meadows was a homemaker and a resident of Mount Pleasant, TN. She was a former operator for Illinois Central Railroad in Jackson, TN. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mount Pleasant, where she was active in the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 257 in Ethridge, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Newlon Lee Meadows, Jr. who died May 11, 2004; and her parents, George Thomas Edwards and Anna Belle Anderson Edwards.
She was survived by two daughters, Christina McCary and husband Eugene of Monterey, LA, and Jane Brackett and husband Jeff of Newton, IL; one son, Newlon Lee Meadows, III of Riverton, IL; a sister-in-law, Betty Fuqua of Milan, TN; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
