Pete Adams was born November 17, 1934 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Roy Alfred and Bertha (Nalley) Adams. He departed this life on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at his home in Rose, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years, 9 months, and 20 days.

Pete grew up in Salina, Oklahoma. He had been a resident of the Locust Grove area all of his life. On August 20, 1954, Pete and Wauhillau Alice Wofford were united in marriage at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Pryor, Oklahoma. The couple have been married over 66 years. Recently, Pete gave his life to the Lord and was baptized this past July at the Exciting Southeast Baptist Church.

Pete has been in the construction business since he was a young man. He has worked as a heavy equipment operator and by the age of 20, he worked to become the owner and operator of "Pete Adams Bulldozer Service". He thoroughly enjoyed operating and working as his own mechanic on all of his equipment.

Pete was an avid coon hunter and fisherman. He traveled to hunt and fish all over the country that included trips to Alaska, Canada, Mississippi, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Upon retiring, Pete enjoyed cooking anything and everything. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Pete was a very hard worker that made sure his family was provided for at all times. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Pete is survived by: his wife, 3 children, 4 grandchildren: one great grandson: 1 sister: 1 brother:

Pete was preceded in death by: his parents; 1 brother: J.C. Adams; and 1 sister: Helen Weaver.
