Mr. Hermon A. Dedmon of Mansfield, Arkansas, died Wednesday, April 13, 1994, in a Fort Smith hospital. Mr. Dedmon was 87 year old. He was the son of the late John Joe Dedmon and Nancy Belle (Gibson)Dedmon. The couple moved to the Mansfield area in the 1920's. Mr. Dedmon was a retired manager of Mansfield Gas Company and a faithful member of the 1st Baptist Church of Mansfield; and served as a Deacon.
After Mr. Dedmon retired from the gas company, the building was re-named after him.

Mr. Deadmon was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife: Mevina Dedmon; a son: Herb Dedmon; and one grandson: Perry.
He is survived by 4 daughters: Maye Armstron, Mary Morgan, Joyce Dart, and Ruth Richard; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; other relatives; and a host of dear friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Deadmon was held on April 15, 1994, at the 1st Baptist Church, in Mansfield, Arkansas. Rev. Joel Faircloth, officiated the services. He was laid to rest at Coop Prairie Cemetery in Mansfield, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were his grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers were: the Deacons of the 1st Baptist Church.
