Today (8 Sep 2020) Aunt Genny died at around 6:15 PM. The nurse had been encouraging shortly prior: fluid down, clot dissolving, having therapy...still weak and not eating much, but there were positives. She was sleeping when I called. Shortly after that conversation with the nurse, she called back and said Genny had
awakened lethargic, with low oxygen levels, and so they had called an ambulance. Our Aunt Genny passed away before the ambulance arrived.

The official reason will most likely be failure to recover from surgery and its aftermath. I feel that it was also too much trauma in too short a time, plus isolation. She was undergoing quarantine for two weeks due to Covid and being a people-lover, she was extremely lonely.
Ironically, we were allowed into the nursing home facility for the first time, after she passed, to say goodbye.

A Celebration of Life, for the family, will be held at a future date and will most likely be planned for when Duane can make it back from Florida to officiate.
Genny was an institution in the Warren family: the one who spread family news, who kept in touch with all her siblings, and the only one to reach 100 ...and 2. I hope that she will be surrounded in heaven by her loved ones who've gone before and never feel lonely again.
The Warrens loved her and we'll miss her.
RIP Ellen Genevieve Warren Richmond.
