• Married on May 8, 1920 at Hamilton, Ont. to Marion/Marim Alice Wilson (A. McD. Wilson and Elizabeth Cook).
• Was employed as a Civil Engineer prior to military service.
• Before enlisting with the Canadian Expeditionary Force (S/N 256983) in 1915 had served 1 year with the 91st Highlanders and 10 months with the 1st Field Company CE. Was attached to the 2nd Pioneer Battalion Canadian Engineers before being transferred to the 6th Battalion Canadian Engineers, both of the CEF. Was discharged at the end of the war (demobilization) in Dec. 1919.
