Stella Marie St. George


Stella Marie St. George, 94 years of age, went to be with our Lord on Saturday September 8th, 2007 in Wenatchee.

Stella was born to Philip and Theresa King on May 21st, 1913 in Sedalia, Missouri. In 1923 she moved with her parents and two sisters to Yakima and attended St. Joseph's Academy. On July 10th, 1930 she married Raymond St. George. She was a lifelong resident and homemaker in the Yakima Valley until 2005 when she moved from Mabton to Wenatchee to live with her son Richard and his wife Patricia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 56 years, Raymond and her sister Lorna Cameron. She was the loving mother of five sons; Philip and wife Eloise of Yakima, Edward and wife Delores of Soap Lake, Richard and wife Patricia of Wenatchee, Joseph and wife Judith of Naches, Thomas and wife Teresa of Mabton, and a beloved grandmother of 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Ruth Padgett of Hillsboro, Oregon, and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a Rosary Friday, September 14th at 7:00pm in the Chapel at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5315 Tieton Drive. The Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church's Chapel on Saturday, September 15th at 10:00am with Father Ronald Patnode officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
