Danny Whittle, 15, of Strayhorn, died Monday, February 24 in Senatobia. Mr. Whittle was a student at Coldwater High School, selected by Who's Who Among American High School Students in 2002, a member of the American Honor Roll Society in 2003, a former Boy Scout, and a recipient of many FFA awards. Services were held Thursday, February 27 at C.O. Pate Funeral Home in Senatobia with interment in Longtown Cemetery in Longtown, Miss. Pallbearers were Tim Whittle, Larry Bannister, Prentis Goodwin, Andy Whittle, William Floyd White, Rodger Whittle, Charlie Willard, and Henry Sanders. Rev. Linda Hicks officiated.

Mr. Whittle is survived by his parents, Andrew and Sue Whittle of Strayhorn; one brother, Andy Whittle of Strayhorn; his grandparents, Marilyn and Cecil Self of Vancleave, Miss.; and his great-grandmother, Catherine Hattie Smith of New Albany.
