Services are today at 2 p.m. at National Funeral Home. Burial is in Longtown Cemetery in Crenshaw. Dr. Courtney Selvy will officiate. National Funeral Home has charge.
Hawkins, born July 19, 1951, was a retired musician who performed with numerous bands such as: Our Grandparents Children, Around Track, Borderline, South Bound, Thunder Road and Anything Goes, he won numerous awards with CHS Pioneer Band and graduated from Clarksdale High School. He was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis about 12 years ago.
He was preceded in death by his father C.L. Hawkins.
Survivors include his mother Hazel Hawkins of Clarksdale; one son Roger Craig Hawkins of Clarksdale; two sisters, Barbara Henderson of Crenshaw and Sandra Bryant of Batesville; one brother Tommy Hawkins of Greenwood and one grandchild Shelby Madison Graham of Clarksdale.
Memorials may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
